Avon Gardens has been a part of love stories for over 20 years. We pride ourselves in offering guests to the gardens a unique experience unlike any other. The gardens themselves have been on multiple national garden tours and featured in Midwest Living magazine. The sun gardens offer spots bursting with glorious color throughout the season, and the ravine and waterfall gardens offer serene, shady sites, all perfect settings for many photographic opportunities. Because of the changing seasons of the gardens and the customizations of the ceremony and reception areas, no two weddings are ever alike.

Ceremony

Wedding ceremonies are held on a secluded lawn surrounded by colorful garden borders and a spectacular lily pond. You are allowed great flexibility in planning your wedding. Ceremony sites include an elegant bridal arbor with silk flower arrangements to complement your colors or for a more natural setting, a beautiful maple tree with hanging lanterns and lit candles. A custom rose petal aisle, aisle embellishments, and sashes for the aisle chairs are included with your garden rental for no additional charge.

Reception

The reception is conveniently located through a stroll in the shade gardens featuring a koi pond, waterfalls, and a shaded deck overlooking a wooded ravine - a great spot of appetizers or a receiving line. The reception, located in our sun gardens includes a pavilion and tent area decorated with bridal garland and paper lanterns. The beautiful garden pavilion has lighting and paddle fans and is used for food service, cake and gift tables as well as music for your reception. There is a bar area, flexible shelter, and catering prep area. We do have customizable centerpieces for rent for your convenience.

Our Team

We have a dedicated team that will work with you to customize the wedding of your dreams around the gardens. Our coordinators will meet with you before your wedding to customize the ceremony and reception areas. You will have access to the ceremony area and one of our coordinators a day before your wedding for a rehearsal at no additional charge. Our coordinators will assist in the rehearsal and be there for you the day of your wedding to make sure everything is running smoothly. Our staff does all of the decoration set up and clean up so that you and your family can enjoy the celebration. Additional staff is on hand the day of your event for parking and golf cart transportation for elderly and late arrivals.
